Wrightsville Beach Scenic Cruises offers sightseers, visitors and vacationers a chance to enjoy a water tour of the area aboard our modern twin-engine tour boat, or aboard ‘Lady Star’, our 40′ Trojan Flybridge Motor Yacht. Fishing charters, yacht charters, pontoon boat charters – we do it all.
From the exquisite beauty of a Wrightsville Beach sunset over the salt marsh, a visit to Masonboro Island, or a special event for an office, family or church group, you will find lots to enjoy.
Wedding party? You bet, and we can help you with the engagement party, bridal shower, bridesmaid luncheon, bachelor and bachelorette parties, too.
Masonboro Island is the largest undeveloped barrier island on the North Carolina coast. Efforts are underway to keep it that way, too, to preserve the shorebird rookeries along the southern end, the turtle nesting areas along the beach, and the unique coastal marine habitat.
It is a popular place for a day trip, an overnight camping trip or a guided nature tour with our knowledgeable local experts.
Surfers can enjoy the frequent excellent surfing conditions along the beach, and we will transport surfers and boards to and from the island.
Want to go camping, sleep under the stars and be soothed by the sound of the ocean waves on the beach? We can take you and your camping over in the afternoon and pick you up the next day.
What can you see?
All sorts of sea critters, egrets, ospreys and countless other shorebirds, and more often than not, porpoises. And once in a while whales of several different types will come close enough inshore to see.
Sea turtles visit the island to nest and lay their eggs. Please do not approach or disturb the turtles.
A marine biologist will take you for a three hour tour, and you can enjoy seining, shelling, claming and crabbing. Be sure to bring your camera, too, because there is much you might see, including great blue herons, snowy egrets, clapper rails, the awesome rows of almost prehistoric looking pelicans in flight, soaring just above the waves, scarcely moving a feather in effortless unison with the sea and air.
The Nature Excursions are every Saturday morning but with advance notice they can be scheduled just about any time.
Group outing? Please call to set up your own day and time.

And what a wonderful place for weddings!
See the bottom picture? We have a washdown pump on the pontoon boat so you can rinse the sand off for the ride back over to the docks, and, once there, we also have fresh water rinse, too, so you can drive back to the big city and leave the salt here.
